Two nominations for the Corporate Design Award

Two projects of the Peter Schmidt Group have been nominated for the Corporate Design Award 2016: The corporate designs for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen and the hummus beer Mazelprost; created in collaboration with BBDO agencies from both Berlin and Tel Aviv.

Mazelprost was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of German-Israeli relations and combined culinary specialties from both countries: Hummus and beer. The beer's name equally combines as Mazelprost consists of the Hebrew "Mazel Tov", which means "Good luck", and the German word for cheers, "Prost". Its transparent label, seal and colour scheme also reflect current trends within the craft beer segment to give Mazelprost an optimistic and up to date look.

The new corporate design for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen concisely conveys its   transformation from a manufacturer of sheet fed printing presses to a service provider for the entire printing process.

No longer merely representing just a static printing process, a restyled logo today illustrates the comprehensive services offered by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen through new corporate colours, a so-called brand Icon and a characteristic pictogram world.

The Corporate Design Award acknowledges excellence in corporate design and redesign as well how individual elements which constitute a brand can support and influence its visual identity.
