VI5IONS, for the art gallery Deutsche+Guggenheim, wins a gold prize at the BCP Awards

A retrospective publication that honours 15 years of collaboration and participating artists.

The publication "VI5IONS", for the Berlin art gallery Deutsche+Guggenheim, has won a gold prize at this year's "Best of Corporate Publishing Award" (BCP). With over 250 pages, the jury awarded the prize within the category of “Specials and Annuals - corporate books / trade and service”.

VI5IONS celebrates a 15-year-old collaboration between the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and Deutsche Bank. As a retrospective publication, the catalogue was given to key stakeholders of this partnership and especially to honoured artists who had previously been exhibited at the gallery. The catalogue’s title combined the name of the gallery’s first exhibition, "Visions of Paris", with its anniversary exhibition "Visions of Modernity".

A concept of "connectivity" runs throughout the entire design of the publication. Through a use of overlaid and interwoven content, text systemically flows into itself, while retaining its visibility, yet remains highly organised in its large format and use of space. "An exceptional cooperation deserves an equally exceptional publication," said Gregory Ade, Managing Partner of the Peter Schmidt Group. Therefore, VI5IONS has been meticulously designed, down to every last detail, to produce an exquisitely crafted publication of the highest quality that befittingly acknowledges this unique project and artistic achievement.
