Peter Schmidt Group remains Germany’s best-selling brand and design agency

Peter Schmidt Group has successfully defended its leading position as Germany’s top brand and design agency. With a total sales volume of 24.1 million euros in 2019, the agency remains at the top of the current ranking compiled by PAGE and W&V – far ahead of the competition. The second-place agency posted sales of 21.7 million euros.

In their joint ranking of Germany’s largest brand and design agencies, the two magazines focused exclusively on the share of the CD/CI business, while disciplines such as consumer branding were not taken into account. For this reason there are deviations from the objectively ascertainable total sales in the analysis, where Peter Schmidt Group rose to second place thanks to a significant increase of 7.7%.

Managing partner Armin Angerer said three factors are primarily responsible for the agency's business growth. “On the one hand there's our successful work for major clients, including Mercedes-Benz, which is reflected in our sales for the first time over an entire year in the 2019 figures. Moreover we have expanded our international activities and won several exciting new clients in the SME sector. This broad base puts our business on a stable footing, especially under the current conditions.” Clients such as Deutsche Bahn, Henkel, Linde, Mercedes-Benz, Postbank and Shiseido prove that the agency's service portfolio is attractive to customers in a wide range of industries. The agency has positioned itself as a successful partner to effect positive change. “People expect brands to respond to their individual needs, to adapt and exhibit empathy. All this requires companies to rethink their brand management,” said managing partner Lukas Cottrell. “In the future, the focus will no longer be restricted to ‘Digital First’ but will explore integrated service models as the perfect link between the digital and analog worlds.  We will accompany our customers along this exciting path.”
