Ruediger Goetz and Heidrun Angerer join ADC panel of judges

Hamburg, 16.5.2022

Not one but two employees of Peter Schmidt Group are on this year's panel of judges for the Art Directors Club of Germany: Managing director Prof. Ruediger Goetz and executive creative director Heidrun Angerer will serve on the panel of judges evaluating the year’s outstanding creative work.

The strong presence of Peter Schmidt Group on the judging panel underscores the company’s role as one of the leading brand and design agencies in Europe. While Goetz has already served in past years, Heidrun Angerer is a new addition to the panel. She is considered one of the most high-profile designers in Germany in the fields of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products, having been responsible for the brand relaunch of the Douglas perfumery chain and the lingerie manufacture Mey, among others. Her “Grace of Waste” project, which recycled used coffee grounds to make a beauty soap, won awards at a number of creative competitions – including one from the ADC.

“Design and branding are much more powerful in terms of communication than they were ten years ago. That's why they are gaining increasing attention compared to traditional advertising campaigns. This is also reflected in the projects submitted to the ADC for award consideration,” said Ruediger Goetz.

The ADC competition is one of Germany’s most important creative competitions, and is highly relevant for industry rankings. Projects are evaluated in twelve areas ranging from activation campaigns to animated films. In the past year, Peter Schmidt Group won a silver nail – the highest award in the category – for the corporate design relaunch of Deutsche Bahn. This year’s awards will be presented at the ADC Festival to take place on May 17-20.
